Break, breaking, breakthrough –God’s answers before, during and after.(Excerpt)
As a young teenager I remember walking into my home after school. I heard my mother weeping and knew something had happened. Once inside, my parents began telling me a story of very close friends, a broken relationship and broken trust. There had been a horrific collapse of fidelity and trust in their marriage.
The shrapnel of their poor choices had left my parents wounded. Heartbroken and overwhelmed, my mother, shattered, shared the painful details with me.
The breaking, painful and life changing. Where was God in all of this?
The collapse was not only in their marriage but in their faith as a result. The husband had walked away from his wife and children. As a result the couple had walked away from their relationship with the Lord.
Both of my parents had suffered loss before, but this felt different. My mother was sweet, feisty and determined in her faith as well as her relationship with me. Strong, sweet, and quietly fierce. My father was an anchor in our lives, holding steady regardless of the strength of the storm.
A pivotal moment happened though after my mother told me the story. Wiping tears away she stood up and looked at me. She stared and began walking towards me.
Firmly resolute in her choice of words, she said with a shaky voice, “your father and I” pausing, “we will never quit, we will never give up or walk away, we will always live for Jesus.” She looked back at my father for an endless moment and he nodded in agreement.My dad looked at me with a look that forged something inside me. My mother kept coming toward me and there was no trace of disillusionment in her eyes.
She looked at me with tear filled eyes, now inches away from my face and said “say it.”
I looked at my mother and said, “we will never quit, we will never give up, we will never walk away. We will always live for Jesus.” She stepped closer and quietly whispered to me, “say it again.”
I said it again and knew that that moment changed me. Changed my faith forever.
“I will never quit, I will never give up and I will never walk away, I will always live for Jesus.”
This became a life statement for me. A life decision made from the rubble of sorrow has continually reminded me why I live for Jesus and shaped every aspect of my life.
It also forged a resilience within me that kept my head above water while navigating my own life.
This book is to give you hope with direction. That you too can be resilient while praying and waiting for your own breakthrough.

Cynical? Time to Repent and Get Your Heart Right
Do you ever feel like you have a cynical response to things? When people preach or teach that God answers prayers and He is the God of miracles…you have a cynical response to what they’re saying? In your head?
I want to strengthen your faith with His Word. But sometimes we need to say “God I’m sorry, help me believe.”
In fact repenting is always necessary when we serve God. It gets rid of things in your heart and soul and makes room for what God wants to do.
Too much clutter keep God from adding anything.
Anything He’s purposed and planned for you.
Cynicism can look small but it grows big.
A simple thing I do every day is to say:
God I believe in you, I believe you are faithful and true (psalm 145:13-15)I know you are not a liar (Numbers 23:19), I trust what you say. Help me God(Isaiah 41:10).
And I depend daily. Of attitudes, comments that didn’t need to be said, thoughts that were filled with the opposite of what God says to think about (Philippians 4:7,8)

Today is the time to pray, repent and ask God to show you what you need to know.
Quit wasting time in what doesn’t matter, what is toxic to your heart your health and your emotions. (3 John 2)
God wants you to choose Him, choose to live for Him in all the right ways.
Being cynical is different than using sound judgement, having discernment and assessing a situation to make a wise decision.
Cynicism is assuming God won’t do for you what He’s already promised. It’s negating your prayer, and your hopes in God. That He really won’t answer your prayer or help you in this season. You prayed before and He didn’t answer or you didn’t get the outcome you hoped for.
But we always have to go back to what God says, what He’s promised in His Word and use that as our standard. Then we have to align our thoughts with what God says. He hasn’t changed and He hasn’t fallen short. He is faithful and He is trustworthy.
I remember recently fussing with God about a prayer that hadn’t been answered and I was frustrated at having to wait for the answer. It was ridiculous to me at the time I spent thinking about the situation that continued to be the same. No breakthrough, no answer, circumstances stayed the same.
Frustrated about thinking over the situation how it was just paused. The Lord spoke very clearly to me. He reminded me that I had fussed a lot in my thoughts, at Him, about this situation, but really I hadn’t prayed. I was thinking “What?”
He reminded me of every conversation (fussing, being angry, lousy attitude ) in my head but no prayer.
Yikes.
If I would’ve prayed my attitude would’ve been much different.
There’s a humbleness that comes with prayer. Asking God to change a situation, then saying to God “not my will be done but yours.”
When praying over a situation that has stalled I’ve learned over the years to declare God’s scriptures over my specific situation. It’s like planting a seed for a specific crop that you want to see the harvest.
I pray specific scriptures over specific challenges, scriptures on finances when there’s lack and there’s not enough, scriptures on healing when they’re sickness and disease.
I always want to share these stories in hopes of helping someone grow and have a deeper faith in the Lord.
God is working on your behalf. He’s promised to answer when you call (Jeremiah 33:3), and He’s promised to strengthen and help you today. (Isaiah 41:10).
I believe God has more for you, and it’s time to make room in your heart, soul and spirit for more. (Ephesians 3:20).

Invite Him Into the Boat
“They willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.” — John 6:21 (NKJV)
There’s a moment in the Gospel of John where a group of exhausted, storm-tossed disciples do one simple thing — they let Jesus into the boat. And everything changes at once.
The disciples set out across the Sea of Galilee expecting an ordinary crossing. They were experienced fishermen, on familiar water, headed somewhere they’d been before.The Storm They Didn’t See Coming
Then the storm rose up.
For hours they fought it — straining at the oars, watching the far shore stay just as distant as when they’d started.Exhausted. Straining. Getting nowhere, no matter how hard they rowed.
Maybe you know that feeling. The nights that stretch on longer than they should. The effort that doesn’t seem to move you an inch closer to where you’re trying to go.What God Did in the Middle of It
In the middle of their struggle, Jesus came to them — walking on the very water that was working against them.
And the moment they welcomed Him into the boat, two things happened at once: the storm stopped, and the boat arrived at the shore. Not eventually. Immediately.
Jesus walked towards them The Storm Stopped
They didn’t just survive the night. They got there faster than their own strength ever could have carried them.
What This Means for Us Today
Maybe you’ve been rowing for what feels like forever — in a marriage, a calling, a health struggle, a business, a long season of waiting — and the shore doesn’t seem any closer no matter how hard you work at it.This story reminds us the answer was never “row harder.” It was “invite Him in.”
When we willingly receive Jesus into our storm, He doesn’t just calm the wind. He can move us straight to where He’s already planning to take us — in a way our own effort never could reach on its own.
Whatever storm you’re in tonight, you were never meant to weather it alone.An Encouraging Word
He sees the distance you’ve already covered, and the distance still ahead — and He is already walking toward you, across the very thing that’s working against you.
Receive Him into the boat. Let Him get you to shore.

It All Matters

Perfect Peace in Your Mind
God always has a plan. God shows us what His plan is in His Word. There is a peace that comes with God’s plan. Hard to explain but evident when it comes.
If you’ve ever struggled with what God‘s plan is for your life, I have found these great scriptures that point To God’s plan and purpose for your life.These scriptures will give you insight to what God has for you.

Today is a good day to commit your work, your day, your marriage or relationships, your schooling and life to the Lord.
You’ll gain wisdom and insight from the Lord that is purposeful.And you’ll experience God’s peace when you follow His game plan.
Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.”
What God is saying; Peace is not determined by circumstances—it flows from a mind fixed on God.
Faith Principle
Where the mind rests, peace follows.
God’s strategy is for you to receive His salvation through His Son Jesus. Be forgiven of your sins as you come to Jesus. Follow His strategy for your life, and experience the fullness of His presence in your life.
This is called having your mind renewed.
The Mind of Christ available HEREChanging your old life and old way of thinking for His. And this includes peace. This includes God’s plan for your life, which is good.
God is a good God and the Devil is a bad devil and we don’t ever want to mix those two things up.

God has more for you. His promises are for you, and He is faithful to fulfill those promises. His game plan though requires you to be in the game, follow His voice, and listen to His strategy.
God sees the whole picture. Your whole picture.
You can trust that He knows the play better than you ever could. It’s tempting to call your own shots, to run ahead with what feels safe or familiar, but God’s game plan often looks different than we expect. Stay in the huddle with Him through prayer, keep your eyes on His Word for the next play, and be willing to move when He says move — even if you can’t see the whole field yet. He’s not just calling plays from the sidelines; He’s in it with you, working all things for your good.
His plan brings peace to your heart and your mind, as you renew your mind with His promises.

Where Does Your Stability Come From?
Every believer faces seasons that test their faith.
Unexpected expenses arise. A doctor’s report brings uncertainty. Relationships become strained. Doors close that we hoped would open. If we’re not careful, our circumstances begin to dictate our emotions, our peace, and even our confidence in God.
But Scripture reminds us that our stability is never meant to come from what surrounds us.It comes from the One who never changes.
David declared:
“I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”
Psalm 16:8
Notice David didn’t say life would never be difficult.He said he would not be moved.
There is a profound difference.
If my peace depends upon having enough money, I’ll always worry about not having enough. If gas prices go up do I immediately get upset or fall apart?
If my confidence depends on everyone’s approval, disappointment will constantly shake me.
If my joy depends on favorable circumstances, it will rise and fall with every challenge that comes my way.
But when my life is anchored in God’s Word, I discover something the world cannot give me—a steadfast heart.
God never intended believers to be tossed back and forth by every problem they face. He calls us to build our lives on His promises. As we spend time in His presence, meditate on His Word, and invite the Holy Spirit to direct our day, He strengthens us from the inside out.
Hebrews tells us:
“We have this hope as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.”
Hebrews 6:19
An anchor doesn’t stop the storm.
It keeps the ship from drifting.
Likewise, God’s Word anchors our hearts when everything around us feels uncertain. His presence brings peace that circumstances cannot steal.
A Good Word
Whatever you are facing today, remember this:
God is still your Rock.
He has not abandoned you.
His promises are still true.
When you place your confidence in Him instead of your circumstances, you’ll discover a strength that remains steady regardless of what tomorrow brings.
Declare today:
“The Lord is my strength. He is my refuge. My hope is in Him. I shall not be shaken, and I shall not be moved.”

ENJOYING GOD’S BLESSINGS
A Bible Study on Receiving, Walking In, and Enjoying What God Has Given
Core Theme
God does not call His people to merely endure life—He calls them to trust Him, walk with Him, and enjoy the fruit of what He provides.
Yet many believers struggle to step into that place of rest and enjoyment.
This study addresses that tension.
1. THE PROBLEM CHRISTIANS FACE
Many believers are:
- Faithful, yet weary
- Blessed, yet unable to enjoy it
- Provided for, yet still striving
- Walking with God, yet lacking peace
Root Issues
- Constant striving instead of resting in God

God’s intention is not temporary relief—it is sustained enjoyment of what He establishes in your life.
1 Timothy 6:17 (NKJV)
“Trust in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.”
This is foundational:
- God is the giver
- The provision is rich
- The purpose includes enjoyment
Enjoyment is not worldly—it is God-ordained when rooted in Him.
Today is a good day to pause for a moment and thank God for what He has done for you.
Our tendency is often to focus on lack, unanswered prayers, upsetting circumstances….and then we let our mood determine our day rather than what God has already done for us.
But the Bible says that ‘the Joy of the Lord is your strength.’ Nehemiah 8:10
In order to be stronger in the Lord you have to take hold of His strength. And it is attached to joy.
It is time to be purposeful about your walk with the Lord and live stronger.
Not waiting for adverse situations to come and cause you to get off track. Decide ahead of time to live for Jesus, to walk with Him and be strengthened by His promises. This is a decision only you can make.

Happy Father’s day
We want to honor you and appreciate you today.
Dick Mills family God created fathers to love, protect, give direction and to lead and we are grateful for that.
Galatians 6:9, “be not weary in well doing for you will reap a harvest if you don’t faint (give up).
You are in charge of keeping yourself fit for the battle, strong for each day. Strengthen yourself simply by putting God’s Word inside of you.
I wanted to share a personal story with you. My father Dick Mills-had a big call on his life and that was to give a good word to everyone he came in contact with in his lifetime.
That ended up being hundreds of thousands of people.
He would give a word that would fill them up, restore, and refuel their passion for living for God. It stirred the fire in their spirit. Never demeaning but life giving.
God’s Word brings purpose for what He is calling you to do. It brings vision, meaning and hope. The presence of God burns within our spirit and stirs a fire that should never go out.
His Word is powerful and it will renew your spirit and your strength.
We believe that we must run this race to win. And you must run the race, not to grow weary but run the race to cross the goal line.
Every athlete and team player practices and is coached to be competitive and to grow in ability and skill.
There are days, weeks and months of endless practicing. But it leads to a strategic moment.

And when the football crosses the goal line.
People live for those moments. But it takes a lot of unseen moments before the win takes place. There are losses as well.
All of the continuous running, training, and competition leads to victory.

It is all about Jesus. All of this life is about a supernatural life with Jesus.
You are the reason we want to give a good word. A word of hope and growing your faith. So you don’t grow weary.

This is the main reason we felt God speaking to us to pick up the ball and run towards the goal. To continue giving a good word, empowering people, directing people towards God and offering a way to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Trust God With Your Plans
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”The Challenge We Often Face-
Most believers genuinely want to follow God’s will.
We want to make wise decisions. We want our plans to succeed. We want to know that we are moving in the right direction.
Yet there are times when life presents choices that seem difficult to navigate.Doors open and close. Circumstances shift unexpectedly. Opportunities appear, while other plans fall apart.
When answers are not immediately obvious, our natural tendency is to rely upon our own reasoning.
We analyze situations, calculate outcomes, worry about possibilities, and attempt to figure everything out ourselves.
The problem is that our understanding is limited.-We only see a small portion of what God sees.
-What appears to be a setback today may actually be a divine setup for tomorrow.
-What seems delayed may simply be God’s timing at work.
When we lean entirely upon our own understanding, frustration, fear, and uncertainty often follow.
What It Means To Trust The Lord
Proverbs 3 does not tell us to trust God with part of our hearts.
It says to trust Him with all our hearts.
Trust means placing confidence in God’s wisdom above our own opinions.

Trust means believing His Word even when circumstances suggest otherwise.
Trust means resting in the knowledge that our Heavenly Father sees the beginning and the end while we can only see the next step.God never asks us to understand everything before we obey Him.
He simply asks us to trust Him.Psalm 37:5
“Commit your way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”
To commit your plans to the Lord means to place them into His hands.We have books to help you grow in faith, be strong in the Lord, and be a determined believer that never gives up never quits, never walks away and always lives for Jesus.

It means surrendering your agenda, your timetable, and your expectations to His greater purpose.
Pray at the beginning of your day, asking Him to establish His plans in your life.
That is where peace begins.God’s Solution: Acknowledge Him In All Your Ways
The Lord gives a simple but powerful instruction:
“In all your ways acknowledge Him.”
It is listening for His direction and following His leading.
When we acknowledge Him, we position ourselves to receive His guidance.
God promises that He will direct our paths.
Notice that He does not promise to reveal every detail of the future.
Instead, He promises direction.
The Christian life is often lived one step at a time.As we trust Him, He guides us.
As we follow Him, He leads us.
As we surrender our plans, He establishes His purpose.Proverbs 16:3
“Commit your works unto the Lord, and your thoughts shall be established.”Isaiah 30:21
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’”Maybe you have been trying to figure everything out before taking the next step.
The Lord reminds you today that the burden of knowing everything does not belong to you.We believe God wants His Word to be shared with
Every Person
Every Day
In every nation
What you are facing belongs to Him.
Your responsibility is not to have all the answers.
Your responsibility is to trust the One who does.
Commit your plans to the Lord.
Place your future in His hands.
Acknowledge Him in every area of your life.
He is faithful to guide those who trust Him.
He sees what you cannot see.
He knows what you do not know.
And He is already preparing the path ahead.Your life matters, your days matter.
