    I wanted to take a moment and thank so many of you that left comments and messages and emails. We are grateful for your kindness and your support to us personally.

    We are definitely in a season of transition and while it has been difficult personally it’s been very precious.

    My husband, Kyle, and I feel very strongly and called to do what we’re doing. Doors have been opening and we’ve had a great deal of favor as the legacy of this ministry carries the Gospel to the world.

    We know that Dick Mills Ministries started very small, but it grew into something significant because of hearts that were completely devoted to the Lord. My father and mother minister to people that needed Jesus.

    I remember at four years old sitting in the front row and my dad ministering to a couple. He said “I’ve got a good word for you.” By the time he was finished giving them the good word both of them were deeply moved and the wife was quietly shaking and sobbing.

    I looked at my mom and said “if dad’s giving then a good word why do the people start crying??”

    She smiled at me and said people are always touched when your father gives them a word because it says God knows exactly where they’re at and what they’ve gone through. God has never left you nor has God forsaken you. He is with you.

    He would proceed to give them a word that would often help them shift their mindset, get back on track and find healing for their soul.

    If you need Jesus, He is the answer to your problems. He has not left you. He loves you and He has not forsaken you, do not give up now.

    Doubt Is Not the Final Word. How You Respond Is What Turns Things Around.

    A Word for You

    You are not sure what to believe right now. The faith that once came naturally has run into something it could not absorb without cracking — a painful experience, a prayer that went unanswered, a loss that left you asking questions you cannot resolve. When you try to pray, confusion comes instead of direction. When you try to believe, your own thoughts argue back. When you reach toward God, something inside asks: is He real? If He loves me, why did this happen? Where was He when I needed Him most?

    That is an honest and painful place to be. And it deserves an honest answer — not a dismissal of the questions, not a lecture about having more faith, but a genuine response from God’s Word to the real experience you are carrying. The doubt is real. The confusion is real. The heartache underneath both of them is real. And God is not threatened by any of it.

    Here is where this page begins: doubt is not the end of your story. It is not proof that God has abandoned you or that your faith was never real. Doubt is something that has visited almost every person in Scripture who ever lived by faith — and in every case, the story did not end with the doubt. It ended with the discovery that God had been there all along. He will meet you in this the same way He met them.

    Before Anything Else
    Doubt Is Not the Final Word on Your Faith.
    It Is the Question That Honest Faith
    Has Always Brought to God.
    The most faithful people in the Bible brought their doubts directly to God — and God answered them. Thomas said he would not believe until he saw. God showed up. John the Baptist, from prison, sent messengers to ask Jesus: are you really the one? Jesus answered the question with tenderness, not rejection. Gideon asked for sign after sign before he moved. God patiently provided every one. Doubt in the presence of God is not unbelief. It is the beginning of a conversation that God is ready to have with you.
    The Voice of Doubt — Named Honestly
    When doubt moves in during a difficult time, it brings a particular set of arguments. They feel persuasive because they are built from real pain. Here is what that voice often says:
    “Is God even real? I prayed and nothing changed.”
    “If He loved me, this wouldn’t have happened.”
    “Where was God when I was going through the worst of it?”
    “I’ve believed my whole life — and this is where it got me.”
    “Maybe God answers other people’s prayers but not mine.”
    “I can’t trust something I can’t see when everything I could see has let me down.”
    “What if none of it was real — the faith, the prayers, the closeness I thought I felt?”
    Recognize the Strategy — It Is Not New
    The First Conversation in the Garden
    Was an Attempt to Make Eve Doubt What God Had Said
    The strategy being used against your faith right now is the oldest one in existence. In Genesis, the very first words the serpent spoke were a question designed to create doubt: “Did God really say?” He did not begin with a direct attack. He began by introducing uncertainty about the character and the word of God. He caused Eve to question what she had clearly heard. And the doubt that followed the question changed everything. This is still his primary tactic — not dramatic assault, but quiet erosion of trust in what God has spoken. When you recognize the strategy, you can refuse to cooperate with it.
    In the Garden — Then

    “Did God really say? Surely He didn’t mean that. God knows that if you trust Him completely, you’ll miss out.”

    In Your Life — Now

    “Is God really real? Did He really promise that? If He actually loved you, this wouldn’t have happened.”

    God’s Answer to Every Doubt — His Character Does Not Change
    God Is Not a Liar.
    He Is Faithful. He Is Trustworthy.
    What He Has Spoken, He Will Do.
    The answer to doubt is not a feeling. It is not a dramatic experience. It is the settled, documented, historically verified character of a God who has never broken a promise in all of recorded history. His Word says it plainly — and these promises stand over every question the doubt has raised.
    Numbers 23:19
    “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
    Psalm 145:13
    “The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made.”
    Ezekiel 12:25
    “For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word that I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed.”
    Ezekiel 12:28
    “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done, says the Lord God.”
    He Was There All Along — Even When You Could Not Feel Him
    The Difficult Time Did Not Mean God Was Absent

    One of the most painful aspects of doubt that grows from difficult circumstances is the assumption that God’s absence from the feeling of a situation means His absence from the situation itself. But the Bible’s record is consistent on this point: God was present in every difficult situation His people walked through — even when they could not feel Him, even when they cried out and heard nothing, even when the circumstances gave every appearance of abandonment.

    He was with Joseph in the pit and in the prison. He was with Daniel in the lions’ den before the den was shut. He was with the three Hebrew men in the furnace — and a fourth figure appeared there with them. He was with David in the caves, with Paul in the prisons, with Elijah under the broom tree. The difficult time was not evidence of His absence. It was the terrain through which He was present and active in ways that could only be seen from the other side.

    People Who Doubted — and God Met Them Anyway
    Thomas
    Declared flatly that he would not believe unless he placed his own hands in the wounds of the risen Jesus. Did not soften the statement or apologize for it. Jesus appeared specifically for Thomas, showed him exactly what he asked for, and Thomas’s response — My Lord and my God — became one of the clearest declarations of faith in the Gospels.
    John the Baptist
    From prison, sent his disciples to ask Jesus directly: “Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?” The man who had leaped in the womb when Mary entered the room was now unsure. Jesus did not rebuke him. He sent back a detailed answer and then said to the crowd: among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John.
    Gideon
    When the angel told him God was with him, Gideon’s first response was essentially: if God is with us, why has all of this happened? He then asked for a sign. And another. And another after that. God answered every one without irritation. Gideon went on to lead one of the most dramatic military victories in the Old Testament.
    Abraham
    When God promised a son in his old age, Abraham laughed. Sarah laughed. Both of them, separately, found the promise too far outside reality to believe without a reaction. God was not offended. Isaac — whose name means laughter — was born as promised. The doubt did not disqualify them from the fulfillment.
    In every case doubt was not the disqualifier. Coming back to God with the doubt — bringing the question directly to Him rather than away from Him — was what turned things around. That is available to you right now.
    When You Seek God — You Find God. His Word Is Clear.
    Jeremiah 29:13
    “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
    His PromiseYou will find Me — not you might find Me, not you will find Me if conditions are right. You will find Me when you seek with all your heart. The seeking is the variable. The finding is the promise. God has staked His word on the outcome of genuine seeking. The doubt does not disqualify the seeking. Bring both to Him together.
    Jeremiah 33:3
    “Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.”
    His PromiseI will answer — not conditionally, not after the doubt has been resolved. Call and He answers. The call itself does not require certainty. It requires turning toward Him. A call made in the middle of doubt is still a call He hears and responds to. He will show you things you do not yet know — including what you need to know about His faithfulness in what you are walking through.
    Psalm 145:18
    “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”
    His PromiseIn truth — which includes the truth of exactly where you are. Not a polished, faithful-sounding call, but the honest one: Lord, I am not sure what I believe right now. Lord, I have questions I cannot resolve. Lord, help my unbelief. That is calling in truth. And He is near to the person who calls from exactly that place.
    Hebrews 11:6
    “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
    His PromiseHe is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him — the reward is built into the seeking, not only into the arriving. The person who turns back toward God through doubt, who seeks Him even with shaking hands and uncertain heart, is already in the posture that this promise rewards. The diligent seeking is what God honors. He will be found.
    Mark 9:24
    “Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’”
    His PromiseThis is one of the most honest prayers in all of Scripture — and Jesus responded to it with healing. Not a lecture on faith. Not a requirement to resolve the unbelief before receiving help. The mixture of belief and unbelief, brought honestly to Jesus, was sufficient for Him to act. Your doubt mixed with your longing for God is enough to bring to Him right now.
    He Has Been There the Entire Time
    “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
    — Hebrews 13:5

    Not I will never leave you as long as your faith stays strong. Not I will never leave you unless you go through a hard time that raises questions. Never. The difficult chapter that produced the doubt did not change His presence in it. He was there all along — and He is here now, in the doubt, waiting for you to turn back toward Him.

    He Helped Them Through — He Will Help You Through
    Isaiah 41:10
    “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
    His PromiseI will help you — active, specific, personal. Not general goodwill from a distance but direct help in the specific difficulty. The strength He provides, the upholding of His right hand — these are available to the person in doubt as much as to the person in full confidence. He meets you in the condition you are in, not the condition you wish you were in.
    Psalm 46:1
    “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
    His PromiseVery present — not eventually present, not present after circumstances improve, not present once you have resolved the doubts. Very present, right now, in the trouble. The trouble that produced the doubt is the exact location of His very present help. He is not waiting for the storm to pass before He enters it. He is already in it with you.
    Romans 8:28
    “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
    His PromiseIn all things — the painful chapter, the unanswered prayer, the experience that produced the doubt. He works these together. Not that they were good. Not that they were His design. But that His redemptive work is comprehensive enough to encompass even what the thief intended for harm and turn it toward good. He was working in what you went through — even when you could not feel Him doing it.
    God’s Protocol — How to Come Back Through the Doubt
    Doubt is not resolved by trying harder to believe. It is resolved by bringing the doubt honestly to God and letting His faithfulness answer what your circumstances could not. Here is how that happens.
    Come to God — With the Doubt, Not Without ItDo not wait until the doubt is resolved before returning to God. Come with it. Bring the questions, the confusion, the places where your thinking argues against your faith. Tell Him specifically what you are struggling to believe and why. Lord, I believe — help my unbelief. That prayer is enough. He receives it and responds to it.
    Recognize the Strategy — and Refuse to Cooperate With ItThe doubt that argues against your faith is using the oldest tactic in existence: Did God really say? Recognize the source and name it specifically. This is not an honest intellectual conclusion. This is a coordinated effort to erode my trust in a God whose faithfulness is documented across all of history. Refuse the argument before you engage with it.
    Let God’s Word Answer the Questions the Doubt Is AskingFor every argument the doubt makes about God’s character, there is a specific statement in His Word that directly contradicts it. He is not a man that He should lie. His compassions never fail. He is faithful to all His promises. He will never leave nor forsake. Let His Word be louder than the arguments — not by suppressing the questions, but by putting the answers in front of them.
    Seek Him — Diligently and ConsistentlyHebrews 11:6 — He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. The seeking, even when uncertain, is what activates the promise. Open the Bible daily. Pray even when it feels like going through motions. Keep coming back. The diligence of seeking is what He honors. He will be found by the person who keeps looking for Him.
    Pray Again — Even in UncertaintyJeremiah 33:3 — call to Me and I will answer you. The call does not require resolved faith. It requires turning toward Him and speaking honestly. Pray again — not the polished prayer but the real one. Lord, I am not sure what I believe right now. Lord, show me that You are real. Lord, help me find You again. That prayer reaches God. He answers it.
    Stay Connected — Even When It Feels EmptyThe temptation of the doubting person is to withdraw from church, from community, from everything that once fed the faith. This is counterproductive. Stay connected to a community of believers who carry the faith when yours is thin. Their fire can reignite yours. Their testimony reinforces what your circumstances have challenged. You were not designed to sustain faith alone.
    Let God Do What Only God Can DoThe resolution of doubt is ultimately not your work. You cannot think your way to certainty. You cannot manufacture the experience of God’s presence. But you can come to Him and let Him do what He has always done — make Himself known to the person who turns toward Him, answer the one who calls, be found by the one who seeks. Turn your heart back to Him. Let God do the rest.
    Speak God’s Word Today
    When the doubting thoughts argue loudest, speak these against them. They declare the documented character of God — which is more reliable than any argument doubt has ever made.
    God is not a man that He should lie. What He has spoken, He will do.
    He is faithful to all His promises. Every one of them stands over my life right now.
    When I seek God, I find God. I am seeking. I will find.
    When I call, He answers. I am calling. He hears me.
    He will never leave me nor forsake me — not even in the doubt, not even in the difficult time.
    He was with me all along — even when I could not feel Him, He was present.
    Lord, I believe — help my unbelief. That prayer is enough. He receives it.
    I recognize the strategy of the enemy against my faith. I refuse to cooperate with it.
    Doubt is not the final word. I am turning back to God. He is turning toward me.
    A Prayer for You

    Father, I am coming to You with something I have not known how to bring — the doubt. The questions I cannot answer. The places where my faith has been shaken by what I went through and what I could not understand. The moments when I tried to believe and my own thoughts argued against me. I am bringing all of it to You, because I do not know what else to do with it and because You are the only One who can actually answer it.

    I believe — help my unbelief. That is the most honest prayer I have right now. I am not coming with settled faith and resolved questions. I am coming with what I have: the longing to believe again, the memory of what it felt like to walk closely with You, and the desire to find my way back to that place. Your Word says I will find You when I seek You with all my heart. I am seeking. I am turning back toward You. Meet me here.

    Show me that You were present in what I went through even when I could not feel You. Help me to recognize the strategy that has been at work against my faith and to refuse to cooperate with it any further. Let Your Word be louder than the arguments — Your faithfulness louder than the doubt, Your presence more real than the confusion. I am coming back. I am praying again. I am seeking again. Do what only You can do — let Yourself be found.

    In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
    A Good Word for You

    The doubt you are carrying did not begin as a character flaw. It began as a real response to real pain — something happened, something was hard, something went the way you did not pray for. And in the gap between what you believed and what occurred, the doubt moved in. That is honest. It is human. And it is something God has dealt with in every generation of people who have ever tried to follow Him by faith. You are not the first. And the story does not end here.

    The oldest strategy against a believer’s faith is the one that goes: did God really say? It worked in the garden. It has been working ever since. But the strategy only succeeds if it succeeds in pulling you away from God rather than back toward Him. When you bring the doubt to God instead of away from Him — when you say Lord, I believe, help my unbelief — you have turned the enemy’s strategy against itself. Because what you brought in doubt, God receives and answers. Thomas doubted. He brought his doubt to Jesus. And Jesus showed up specifically for him.

    God is faithful. He is not a man that He should lie. His Word will not return to Him void. What He has spoken He will do. Not eventually — at His appointed time, in His way, for the person who keeps seeking. Come back to Him. Pray again — with whatever faith you have, in whatever words are honest, from wherever you are standing. Seek Him again. Turn your heart again toward the One whose faithfulness has not changed because your circumstances did. He was there all along. He is here now. And He will be found — by you, through this, on the other side of the doubt — because that is who He has always been.

    Carry This Promise With You Today
    “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
    — Jeremiah 29:13

  • What Do You Do When You Pray and God Feels Silent?

    When God Feels Silent

    Scripture Promise

    “Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.”
    Jeremiah 33:3

    There are times when you pray, seek God, and wait for direction—and it seems as though nothing comes back.

    No clear answer.

    No obvious direction.

    No strong sense of God’s presence.

    Just quiet.

    And if that season continues long enough, questions can begin forming:

    Does God hear me?
    Does He care about what I am facing?
    Why hasn’t He answered?
    Has God forgotten me?

    The feeling is real. Many people in Scripture experienced it.
    David cried out to God from seasons when he felt forgotten.

    Elijah became discouraged and exhausted.

    Job walked through circumstances he could not understand.

    But there is an important distinction:

    God’s Word says if you will just call on Him….He will answer. it is a promise from God’s lips to your ears. 

    Our feelings are real, but they are not always reliable interpreters of what God is doing.

    God’s Word is.

    The Problem We Face

    When God seems quiet, the enemy wants us to interpret the silence.

    He whispers:

    God does not hear you.

    God does not care.

    If God loved you, He would have answered by now.

    Other people hear from God, but you do not.

    You are going to have to figure this out yourself.

    But those conclusions contradict what God has already said.

    God says:

    “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
    Jeremiah 29:12–13

    He says:

    “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
    Isaiah 65:24

    And He says:

    “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
    Hebrews 13:5

    The silence may feel real, but abandonment is not the truth.

    God has not left.

    God’s Solution: Keep Seeking and Keep Listening

    Sometimes we are waiting for God to speak in one particular way while overlooking the ways He is already speaking.

    God speaks first and for us,  most reliably through His written Word.

    Scripture is not merely information about God. It is His truth already spoken and preserved for us.

    That is why one of the most important things we can do when God feels silent is continue opening the Bible.

    If you want to hear God’s voice more consistently, begin by spending time where His voice is already speaking.

    God may also guide through the inner witness of the Holy Spirit, wise counsel, circumstances, open and closed doors, and the peace He places within us.

    But none of those will contradict His Word.

    Elijah learned this when he was discouraged and exhausted. God was not in the wind, earthquake, or fire.

    Then came “a still small voice.”
    — 1 Kings 19:12

    Sometimes God’s direction is not dramatic.

    It is quiet.

    And we have to become quiet enough to hear it.

    What Do You Do While You Wait?

    Stay in His Word even when you do not immediately see the answer.

    Keep praying even when you have prayed the same prayer many times.

    Take time not only to talk to God, but to listen.

    Reject conclusions that contradict Scripture.

    When you have a thought that says God doesn’t care if he cared, he would’ve answered my prayer that contradicts scripture and you can realize that the enemy causing you to pull away from God and mistrust God and what He’s already spoken through his word.

    And trust that God can be working in places you cannot presently see.

    Isaiah 40:31 says:

    “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”

    Waiting on God is not doing nothing.

    It is continuing to trust His character while the answer is still forming.

    A Good Word for You

    If God feels silent today, do not mistake quietness for absence.

    Do not let a temporary feeling rewrite a permanent promise.

    He has said He hears you.

    He has said He is near.

    He has said He will never leave you.

    And He has said:

    “Call to Me and I will answer you.”

    So keep calling.

    Keep seeking.

    Keep opening His Word.

    Keep listening.

    You may not yet understand what God is doing, but you can trust what God has already said.

    The silence is not your signal to walk away. It is your invitation to stay close.

    God has not forgotten your prayer.

    God has not left your situation.

    And even now, He may be working in ways you cannot yet see.

    A Word for the Discouraged

    “David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” — 1 Samuel 30:6

    A woman in a white dress walks through a sunlit meadow, capturing a serene summer evening.

    Discouragement has a way of settling over the heart until everything begins to look different. What once seemed possible now seems impossible. Confidence disappears. Weariness takes its place, and eventually we can become so focused on what has not worked that we lose sight of what God can still do.

    But discouragement does not have to determine what happens next.

    Sometimes we become discouraged because we have tried everything we know to do. We have reasoned, planned, struggled and worked harder, trying to produce the answer ourselves. When our plans fail to materialize, frustration follows.

    This is where God calls us back to Him.

    Turn to God Again

    “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

    You do not have to figure everything out before you come to God.

    Come to Him now.

    Ask Him for direction. Ask Him for wisdom. Open His Word and allow Him to change the way you are seeing the situation.

    The circumstances may not have changed yet—but God can change how you approach them.

    Jonah faced this when the Word of the Lord came to him the second time.

    God gave him another opportunity to move forward, but this time he moved according to God’s direction.

    You may be facing the same problem again, but you do not have to face it the same way.

    This time, bring God into it.

    His wisdom can prevail where yours has failed.

    His strength can sustain you where yours has been exhausted.
    His direction can lead you where your own reasoning could not.

    He can restore to you what the enemy has stolen-

    Encourage Yourself in the Lord

    David did something remarkable in one of the most discouraging moments of his life:

    He encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

    He did not allow what he saw around him to have the final word over what he believed.

    You can do the same.

    God is not limited by what has failed.

    Put your hope back in God. Lay down the striving. Lay down the disappointment. Lay down the belief that because something has not happened yet, it never will.

    “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” — Zechariah 4:6

    A Good Word for You

    Discouragement may have knocked you down, but you do not have to remain there.

    Turn to God again.

    What to Do or Which Way to Go

    A Word for You

    There is a particular kind of tired that comes from not knowing. Not the tiredness of a hard answer — the tiredness of no answer yet. Your thoughts go back and forth. One day you feel sure. The next day you question everything again.

    Is this God, or is this just what I want? Am I supposed to stay, or is God leading me away from this? Am I hearing Him, or am I only hearing myself? Should I move forward now, or is this a season to wait and hold steady?

    If that is where you are right now, you are not failing at faith. You are in a season many believers pass through — including some of the most faithful ones in Scripture. The uncertainty does not mean God has gone silent. It often means He is working in ways that are not yet fully visible — and calling you to trust what you cannot yet see.

    What the Back-and-Forth Sounds Like
    “Is this God — or just what I want?”
    “Should I stay, or is He leading me out?”
    “Am I hearing Him or only hearing myself?”
    “What if I move too soon and miss it?”
    “What if I wait too long and miss the open door?”
    “How do I know for sure before I move?”
    You are not the first faithful person to sit with these questions. God is not threatened by your uncertainty — He meets you in it.
    The Lamp, Not the Blueprint
    “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
    — Psalm 119:105
    Notice what a lamp actually does. It does not light up the whole road. It lights up the next few steps. We often want a blueprint — the whole plan laid out so we can see exactly where this leads before we commit to moving. But God tends to give a lamp instead. You don’t know exactly what your life will look like a year from now. But you can seek God for what you need to do today. That is not a lesser kind of guidance — it is the kind Scripture actually promises.
    God Guides Those Who Seek Him
    Proverbs 3:5–6
    “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
    His PromiseHe shall direct your paths — not someday, not only when the circumstances become clear. As you acknowledge Him in all your ways — including the uncertain, in-between season — He directs. The directing is His work. The acknowledging is yours. You do not have to understand the path before He can direct it.
    Psalm 25:4–5
    “Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.”
    His PromiseThis prayer was written for people who do not have it figured out — and that is exactly who it is for. Show me, teach me, guide me. Not the prayer of certainty but of honest seeking. God honors this posture with direction that comes in His timing, not always on demand.
    James 1:5
    “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
    His PromiseWithout reproach — He does not find fault with you for not knowing. The invitation is to ask, and the promise is that He gives generously. The uncertainty you are sitting in is not a disqualifier from His wisdom. It is precisely the condition that makes the asking necessary — and the promise available.
    Isaiah 30:21
    “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left.”
    His PromiseSpecific direction for specific turns. When you are genuinely unsure — right or left, stay or go, now or wait — His voice is available. The condition is having ears oriented toward Him rather than toward the noise of the uncertainty, the opinions of others, or the pressure to decide before the light has come.
    When You’re Not Sure You’re Hearing Him Correctly

    Some of the deepest struggle in this season is not the decision itself — it is the doubt about whether you are even hearing God correctly. Did God really tell me this, or is this just something I want? That question is honest, and it is common. It does not mean something is wrong with your faith. It often means you are taking hearing God seriously enough not to assume.

    Recognizing His voice grows with relationship — not all at once, and not on a schedule. It is entirely normal to feel unsure while that is still being developed. What matters is continuing to bring the question honestly to God, staying in His Word, and giving Him space to confirm what He is saying rather than forcing a conclusion before it arrives.

    “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27

    He said His sheep hear His voice — not that they always immediately recognize it or never doubt it. Following Him is the direction. That direction continues even through the uncertain seasons when the voice feels quieter than you would like.

    Hold Steady — Do Not Rush Ahead
    Holding Steady Is Not the Same as Doing Nothing

    Uncertainty can create pressure — a felt need to do something, anything, just to make the not-knowing stop. But Scripture does not treat waiting as a failure to act. Holding steady in a season of uncertainty is its own form of faithfulness. It is the refusal to manufacture an answer simply because waiting is uncomfortable. The person who holds steady until the light comes takes a step from a much stronger position than the person who moved before it arrived.

    Psalm 37:7
    “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”
    His PromiseBe still — not because nothing is happening, but because forcing the answer before it comes produces results that belong to human timing rather than God’s. Waiting patiently is not passivity. It is the active posture of someone who has decided that God’s timing is better than their urgency.
    Isaiah 28:16
    “Whoever believes will not act hastily.”
    His PromiseOne of the clearest markers of genuine faith is the absence of haste. The person who truly believes that God is directing does not need to force the pace. Haste is often the symptom of fear or self-reliance rather than trust. Holding steady while God prepares what comes next is a declaration that you believe He is working.
    Proverbs 19:2
    “Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses the way.”
    His PromiseHaste misses the way — not through bad intentions but through premature movement. The right step taken before the right time can still be a missed step. Wait for the knowledge, wait for the clarity, wait for the confirmation. The desire to move is not wrong. Moving before the light has come is where things go astray.
    2 Chronicles 20:12
    “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
    His PromiseOne of the most honest prayers in all of Scripture — spoken by a king facing an impossible situation. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You. The not-knowing is named openly. And what follows it is not shame but direction. God answered this prayer with a specific plan. He still does.
    Don’t Assume the Worst While You Wait
    “In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
    — Isaiah 30:15

    You do not have to solve every what-if. You only need to seek Him for today’s step — not defend yourself against every imagined tomorrow. Quietness and confidence are not the absence of concern. They are the presence of trust while the concern is still real.

    Prepare While You Wait
    Waiting and Preparing Are Not Opposites

    The season of holding steady does not have to be a season of inactivity. While you wait for God to open the door only He can open, you can gather information, seek wise counsel, develop skills, put your finances in order, ask questions, and get ready. Preparation in a waiting season is an act of faith — it is saying to God: I believe something is coming, and I am getting ready for it. When the door opens, the person who prepared steps through it with confidence rather than scrambling to catch up.

    Proverbs 15:22
    “Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.”
    His PromiseCounsel establishes plans. While you wait for the direction to become clear, you can seek the wisdom of people who have walked similar paths — whose perspective can show you what you cannot see from inside the uncertainty. Gathering counsel during the waiting is preparation, not premature action.
    Psalm 57:2
    “I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.”
    His PromiseGod who performs all things — including the things that need to happen before the next door opens. While you wait, He is working on things you cannot see: arranging circumstances, opening hearts, preparing the people and the opportunities that will be ready when you are. He is performing while you are preparing.
    Revelation 3:7–8
    “These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”
    His PromiseHe holds the keys. The door He opens for you cannot be shut by any circumstance, any economy, any person, or any delay. And the door He shuts cannot be forced open by your own determination. This is the freedom of genuine trust — the right door, at the right time, opened by the right hand.
    The Posture That Remains the Same Through Every Season
    I
    Pray
    “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
    — 2 Chronicles 20:12
    Bring the real question — not just the version you are comfortable asking, but the actual confusion, the actual doubt, the actual back-and-forth. God is not intimidated by your honest uncertainty. He meets it with direction that comes as you genuinely seek Him.
    II
    Prepare
    “Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.”
    — Proverbs 15:22
    While you wait, you can still gather counsel, get information, get ready, and develop what will be needed when the door opens. You are not forced to choose between waiting and preparing — they work together. Preparation without forcing the outcome is faith expressed through faithfulness.
    III
    Proceed
    “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’”
    — Isaiah 30:21
    When the light comes for the next step — take it. You may still not see the whole road. That is all right. The lamp gives enough light for the next step, and then the next. When God opens the door that no one can shut, step through it with confidence that He who opened it goes with you through it.
    Hold Onto These While You Wait
    Psalm 32:8
    “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My loving eye on you.”
    His PromiseInstruct, teach, guide — three things He commits to doing. With a loving eye — not a disappointed or impatient one. His guidance in the uncertain season is not reluctant. It comes from the same loving attention that has always been on you.
    Proverbs 16:9
    “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
    His PromiseWe plan. God directs. Both are present — human thinking and divine direction working together. Make your best plan with what you have. Hold it loosely. He will direct the actual steps, which may look different from the plan — and almost always do.
    Jeremiah 29:11
    “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
    His PromiseI know the plans — notice who knows. God does. The fact that you do not yet know is not the same as there being no plan. He holds the plan. You hold onto Him. The uncertainty you are experiencing is not evidence that nothing is being prepared — it is the space between now and what He has already determined.
    Hebrews 10:23
    “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
    His PromiseHold fast — not let go when the waiting becomes long or the uncertainty becomes loud. The reason to hold fast is not that the answer is coming soon. It is that He who promised is faithful. His character is the anchor. His faithfulness outlasts every season of not knowing.

    Speak God’s Word Today
    When uncertainty is loudest, speak these. They redirect your attention from what you do not yet know to the God who does.
    God is directing my path — even in the season when I cannot yet see it clearly.
    I do not have to understand everything before I trust Him.
    I will hold steady and not manufacture an answer before the light comes.
    God gives wisdom generously to those who ask — and I am asking.
    I hear God’s voice, and I follow Him.
    What He opens, no one can shut. I will trust Him with the door.
    I am preparing faithfully while I wait for His direction.
    I will not act in haste — I will move when He says to move.
    God knows the plans He has for me — and they are good.
    I have enough light for today’s step. That is enough.
    A Prayer for You

    Father, I come to You honestly today — in the middle of an uncertainty I cannot resolve on my own. I do not know which way to go, and I am not entirely sure I am hearing You clearly. I am trying to discern what is from You and what is just from me, and today that feels harder than it usually does.

    I lay down the pressure to figure this out before You have given me the light for the next step. I lay down the haste that comes from discomfort with not knowing. I lay down the fear that if I don’t move soon, I will miss what You have for me. And I bring You the simple honest prayer of the king in 2 Chronicles: I do not know what to do, but my eyes are on You.

    Teach me Your ways. Show me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth. Give me the wisdom You promise to those who ask. And help me to recognize Your voice — to know the difference between what You are saying and what I am hoping You will say. As I wait, help me to prepare. And when the light comes for the next step, give me the courage to take it — even if I cannot yet see the whole road.

    You hold the key. The door You open, no one can shut. I am trusting You with the door.

    In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
    A Good Word for You

    The season of not knowing is one of the most spiritually formative seasons a person can walk through. It is where trust is built — not the kind that exists when all the answers are clear, but the kind that holds when they are not. God is not absent from your uncertainty. He is present in it, working in ways that are not yet fully visible, preparing what you will need before you know you need it.

    You do not need the whole plan today. You need enough light for the next step — and He has promised to give that. The lamp of His Word does not illuminate the whole road. It gives enough light to take the next faithful step, and then the next. That is the kind of guidance Scripture actually promises, and it is sufficient for every season of genuine not-knowing.

    So hold steady. Keep bringing the real questions honestly to God. Prepare while you wait. Seek wise counsel. And when the light comes for the next step — take it. The door He opens for you cannot be shut by any circumstance or any delay. Trust the One who holds the key. He knows the plans, and they are good.

  • Something Amazing is Happening

    Something amazing is happening. Years back the Lord was very clear in things He showed my husband and I. 
    What the Lord spoke to me after my father died, was “don’t let the prophetic words I spoke to your Father (Dick Mills) die with this generation. He has passed but the Words I spoke to him will never die.”

    That caused us to shift everything we were doing. We relocated, moved across the states, because of things the Lord revealed to us. We got new jobs, moved the Dick Mills Ministries base to Oklahoma. There were specific things the Lord spoke to us-

    As I was praying a few months ago, the Lord also gave me this picture with these words….

    ”Every person, every tribe, every nation.”
    The picture was first of the world, then the nations, then tribes, people, groups, and a person.

    We believe and know God has given us clear direction to bring the gospel to a hurting world. Job 4:4 says, “Your Word O Lord has kept men on their feet.”  

    Keeping people on their feet with the good news that Jesus can help them. 

    We believe Jesus, the Savior, is the answer, and that salvation saves men from Hell.

    With what God is doing for us personally at the ministry Dickmillsministry.org which can now be found online as well at goodword4u.org we are able to share the gospel, the good news and a good word 24 hours a day worldwide.

    We are able to share the good news worldwide now because of the internet.

    And that percentage is growing in worldwide areas even rural, because of the company Starlink.

    Rural pastors are able to take free Bible study resources we offer, and print them off or speak what they’ve learned to their people encouraging them, equipping and strengthening their people. This grows the church. 
     
    With that being said, while you and I cannot personally travel to every nation, we can share God’s Word to every nation by our online presence.
    Think of this, if you want to make a withdrawal from an account there needs to be money and assets in that account in order for you to make your withdrawal.
    We want people to be able to withdraw from this site. The assets are God’s Promises for the challenges they face. 
     
    This website is the location and the home base of God’s Promises, Good Words, the Gospel and Prophetic insight from Dick Mills and David Michael and myself.  It is a way to find a personal word from God’s Word.
     
    God’s Word, a good word, prophetic words that have been spoken, written and can continue to speak life into peoples lives. God’s Word never dies, but it must be shared and be heard.

    The last few months I personally have been adding to our site and ministry a Good Word for You Resource library with hundreds of pages that will minister life into people, whether broken, needing salvation, questions about the Holy Spirit, or direction. It is filled with A Good Word For you topics, scriptures, prophetic insight and encouraging words. There will be a lifetime of personal Bible study and ministry insight packed into these pages.

    But we need you, we need your help moving forward. In order to continue the ministry assets and grow the ministry my husband and I both have been working outside jobs, full time at day jobs in order to make the ministry sustainable.

     Why do we bother? Because we have found that fulfilling the Great Commission is our vision.  

    Our strategy is to grow the outreach, and have the means to do it.

    There are thousands of pages of study resources that my father Dick Mills, and brother David Michael Mills have written that would fill a library. 

    My father alone ministered a good word to over 1,000,000 people. We believe this set in motion a precedence for us to continue breathing life into people with God’s Word. 

    People need Jesus.

    In a nutshell we need more resources and donations to create additional ways for people, believers and non believers to be able to access  A Good Word for You. –

    They are not published yet as we are working towards that but the process is in the works. What we are working on is enormous, and we project it to be active, in every way, in the next 2 months.
     
    I prayed recently and told the Lord I need to live longer to complete all that He is speaking to me! 125 at least.

    Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

    A Good Word for You

    When You Are Waiting on God

    I hear from so many of you asking for prayer, believing God for an answer…yet there seems to be a time of waiting-

    Waiting can be one of the most difficult seasons of the Christian life. You may be praying for healing, believing for financial provision, waiting for a prodigal child to come home, asking God to restore a relationship, or standing in faith for an answer that has not yet come.

    Some mornings you wake up facing the very same challenge you prayed about yesterday. It can be discouraging when circumstances appear unchanged, and the temptation is to believe that God has forgotten you or that your prayers are accomplishing nothing.

    But God’s Word tells us something very different.

    Waiting is not a sign that God is absent. Waiting is often the place where God strengthens our faith, shapes our character, teaches us to depend upon Him, and prepares us for what He has already planned. While we wait, God calls us to remain faithful, to continue trusting Him, and to anchor our lives in His promises rather than our circumstances.

    Foundation Scripture

    Psalm 27:13–14

    “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”

    Notice David says:

    “I would have lost heart…”

    That means he understood discouragement.

    Then he tells us what kept him going:

    He believed.

    God Is Working While You Wait

    Isaiah 40:31

    “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”

    Waiting isn’t simply about the answer.

    It’s about what God does inside you while you’re waiting.

    Lamentations 3:25–26

    “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him…It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

    Habakkuk 2:3

    “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.”

    God’s promises have God’s timing.

    Ecclesiastes 3:11

    “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

    Keep Trusting God

    Proverbs 3:5–6

    “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”

    Even when you don’t understand.

    Psalm 37:5

    “Commit your way to the Lord…and He shall bring it to pass.”

    Hebrews 10:23

    “Hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

    Hold fast.

    Don’t let go.

    Numbers 23:19

    “God is not a man, that He should lie…Has He said, and will He not do it?”

    God’s promises are trustworthy.

    Be Strong While You Wait

    Joshua 1:9

    “Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    While you’re waiting-

    • Keep faithfully doing what you need to do and are responsible for doing
    • Pray without ceasing about your circumstances – not just one time
    • Anchor yourself in God’s Word and promises 
    • Worship while you wait, shifting the focus on His Word and not your problems 
    • Thank Him for helping you and being faithful to you

    “Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus, thank you that you are faithful and trustworthy. Lord we worship you and we give you all the honor and all the praise.  Lord today we give you our heart, we give you our plans, we give you our day and we invite you in Lord.   We ask you to lead us and guide us. God we lift to you in prayer our needs and our requests and we ask you to help us solve what we’re not able to solve, provide what we’re not able to provide and show us what we need to do. Lord, what we need to say and set in motion. God, we thank you that your mercies are new every morning. We thank you that no good thing will you withhold from us as we walk towards you and with you. (Psalm 84:11). Lord, you promise that all of our needs would be met according to your riches in glory(Philippians 4:19), And the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead would now quicken us and make us alive. (Romans 8:11). God thank you that you are fighting battles for us that we don’t even know about that. You’re arranging things for us, you’ve blessed us with favor and wisdom and discernment. God we thank you today that you’re making a way for us even when it seems impossible (Matthew 19:26). We give you all the praise and all the glory – and we pray all these things in the Mighty Name of Jesus, the Name that’s above every name. Amen.

  • God is Speaking

    God is speaking and you can hear His voice. If you ever wonder “How does God speak?”
    There are 3 things you can do today to hear God speak:

    First start with a simple prayer: God I need you. I need your help with __________. Please help me see what I need to see, understand what I need to understand so I can wisely do what I need to do. In Jesus Name, Amen

    1. God says if you will call on Him He will answer you, and SHOW you things you don’t know. Jeremiah 33:3. Write down exactly what you need to know, to hear, or need in your life.  Example: God my heart is broken, my marriage is in rough shape. What do I do?  Or I don’t know how we are ever going to get out of this financial spot we are in, what should we do?

    Realize you need to do what only you can do.  Only you can apologize. Only you can call and make payment arrangements.  But as you do ask God for-

    Help

    Favor

    Miracles

    Strength

    Peace

    “If you want to hear God’s voice more consistently, begin by spending time where His voice is already speaking.”

    2. His voice is already speaking in His Word. Open the Bible and begin reading. Psalm 37. Psalm 46. Psalm 122. Proverbs 1. Proverbs 3. Read and ask God to speak WHILE you are reading His Word.
    This is you shifting your focus from problem to solution. From impossible to miracle. His Word brings answers.

    3. Repent of sin. The Bible says in Isaiah 59:2 that sin will separate you from God. Don’t let sin separate you from God and rob you of the life that you are meant to have.

    We want God to hear us, hear our prayers and help us. 

    He promises He will, and God is not a liar. (Numbers 23:19).

    God is speaking to you, and He is the answer.

    I believe God is speaking to you, and you can hear what He is saying. He is not withholding His voice from you, nor is He dangling His answers or direction in front of you like a carrot. 

    The Holy Spirit does not write new Scripture. He writes God’s eternal Scripture upon our hearts.

    “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
    — John 15:7 (NKJV)

    The Problem We Face

    Many believers desire answered prayer but often become discouraged when answers seem delayed or don’t come the way they expected. We pray, wonder if God hears us, and sometimes question whether we’re asking according to His will.

    Our greatest struggle isn’t usually God’s willingness to answer—it is learning how to remain closely connected to Him.

    The world constantly competes for our attention. Worry, disappointment, fear, busy schedules, and endless distractions can slowly crowd out the quiet place where we hear God’s voice.

    Before long, our thoughts begin to shape our prayers more than God’s Word shapes them.

    Jesus never intended for His followers to live independently of Him. He invites us into a continual relationship where His presence becomes our dwelling place and His Word becomes the foundation of everything we think, believe, and pray.

    Jesus gives us a remarkable promise with a clear invitation: Abide in Me, and let My words abide in you.

    The more God’s Word fills your heart, the more your prayers begin to agree with His purposes. You are no longer praying from uncertainty but from the confidence that comes from knowing what God has already spoken.

    This is why abiding is so powerful. Prayer becomes less about persuading God and more about partnering with Him.

    Today, make the decision to stay close to Jesus.

    Allow His Word to take root in your heart. Spend time reading the Scriptures, listening for His voice, and trusting the Holy Spirit to guide your steps.

    As you remain in Him, your faith will grow stronger, your prayers will become more confident, and your heart will find peace even while you wait.

    God has not left you to figure life out on your own. He invites you to live in His presence, build your life on His Word, and pray with the assurance that He hears every sincere prayer.

    Remain in Him today, and let His Word remain in you. As you do, you’ll discover that the One who gave the promise is faithful to fulfill it.

    God has more for you. It is in His presence that you get the direction you need to go the right way. Listen for His voice. He has the answers you are searching for.
