Just a couple of days ago we lost my brother David Michael Mills. I will share more as time permits.
It is a heartbreak for us. We loved him very much – There was no one like him. And right now the loss is overwhelming…
We grew up traveling all over the world with my parents.
Please keep us in prayer as we navigate the next few days and weeks.
David, my husband Kyle and David’s son Judah Grateful he is not just in a better place but in the best place. He is with our Lord and our Savior.

What Do You Do When You Pray and God Feels Silent?
When God Feels Silent
Scripture Promise
“Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.”
Jeremiah 33:3There are times when you pray, seek God, and wait for direction—and it seems as though nothing comes back.
No clear answer.
No obvious direction.
No strong sense of God’s presence.
Just quiet.
And if that season continues long enough, questions can begin forming:
Does God hear me?
Does He care about what I am facing?
Why hasn’t He answered?
Has God forgotten me?The feeling is real. Many people in Scripture experienced it.
David cried out to God from seasons when he felt forgotten.Elijah became discouraged and exhausted.
Job walked through circumstances he could not understand.
But there is an important distinction:
God’s Word says if you will just call on Him….He will answer. it is a promise from God’s lips to your ears.
Our feelings are real, but they are not always reliable interpreters of what God is doing.
God’s Word is.
The Problem We Face
When God seems quiet, the enemy wants us to interpret the silence.
He whispers:
God does not hear you.
God does not care.
If God loved you, He would have answered by now.
Other people hear from God, but you do not.
You are going to have to figure this out yourself.
But those conclusions contradict what God has already said.
God says:
“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:12–13He says:
“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
Isaiah 65:24And He says:
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5The silence may feel real, but abandonment is not the truth.
God has not left.
God’s Solution: Keep Seeking and Keep Listening
Sometimes we are waiting for God to speak in one particular way while overlooking the ways He is already speaking.
God speaks first and for us, most reliably through His written Word.
Scripture is not merely information about God. It is His truth already spoken and preserved for us.
That is why one of the most important things we can do when God feels silent is continue opening the Bible.
If you want to hear God’s voice more consistently, begin by spending time where His voice is already speaking.
God may also guide through the inner witness of the Holy Spirit, wise counsel, circumstances, open and closed doors, and the peace He places within us.
But none of those will contradict His Word.
Elijah learned this when he was discouraged and exhausted. God was not in the wind, earthquake, or fire.
Then came “a still small voice.”
— 1 Kings 19:12Sometimes God’s direction is not dramatic.
It is quiet.
And we have to become quiet enough to hear it.
What Do You Do While You Wait?
Stay in His Word even when you do not immediately see the answer.
Keep praying even when you have prayed the same prayer many times.
Take time not only to talk to God, but to listen.
Reject conclusions that contradict Scripture.
When you have a thought that says God doesn’t care if he cared, he would’ve answered my prayer that contradicts scripture and you can realize that the enemy causing you to pull away from God and mistrust God and what He’s already spoken through his word.
And trust that God can be working in places you cannot presently see.
Isaiah 40:31 says:
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”
Waiting on God is not doing nothing.It is continuing to trust His character while the answer is still forming.
A Good Word for You
If God feels silent today, do not mistake quietness for absence.
Do not let a temporary feeling rewrite a permanent promise.
He has said He hears you.
He has said He is near.
He has said He will never leave you.
And He has said:
“Call to Me and I will answer you.”
So keep calling.
Keep seeking.
Keep opening His Word.
Keep listening.
You may not yet understand what God is doing, but you can trust what God has already said.
The silence is not your signal to walk away. It is your invitation to stay close.
God has not forgotten your prayer.
God has not left your situation.
And even now, He may be working in ways you cannot yet see.

A Word for the Discouraged
“David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” — 1 Samuel 30:6
Discouragement has a way of settling over the heart until everything begins to look different. What once seemed possible now seems impossible. Confidence disappears. Weariness takes its place, and eventually we can become so focused on what has not worked that we lose sight of what God can still do.
But discouragement does not have to determine what happens next.
Sometimes we become discouraged because we have tried everything we know to do. We have reasoned, planned, struggled and worked harder, trying to produce the answer ourselves. When our plans fail to materialize, frustration follows.
This is where God calls us back to Him.
Turn to God Again
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
You do not have to figure everything out before you come to God.
Come to Him now.
Ask Him for direction. Ask Him for wisdom. Open His Word and allow Him to change the way you are seeing the situation.
The circumstances may not have changed yet—but God can change how you approach them.
Jonah faced this when the Word of the Lord came to him the second time.
God gave him another opportunity to move forward, but this time he moved according to God’s direction.
You may be facing the same problem again, but you do not have to face it the same way.
This time, bring God into it.
His wisdom can prevail where yours has failed.
His strength can sustain you where yours has been exhausted.
His direction can lead you where your own reasoning could not.He can restore to you what the enemy has stolen-
Encourage Yourself in the Lord
David did something remarkable in one of the most discouraging moments of his life:
He encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
He did not allow what he saw around him to have the final word over what he believed.
You can do the same.
God is not limited by what has failed.
Put your hope back in God. Lay down the striving. Lay down the disappointment. Lay down the belief that because something has not happened yet, it never will.
“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” — Zechariah 4:6
A Good Word for You
Discouragement may have knocked you down, but you do not have to remain there.
Turn to God again.

Not the tiredness of a hard answer — the tiredness of no answer yet. Your thoughts go back and forth. One day you feel sure. The next day you question everything again.
Is this God, or is this just what I want? Am I supposed to stay, or is God leading me away from this? Am I hearing Him, or am I only hearing myself? Should I move forward now, or is this a season to wait and hold steady?
If that is where you are right now, you are not failing at faith. You are in a season many believers pass through — including some of the most faithful ones in Scripture. The uncertainty does not mean God has gone silent. It often means He is working in ways that are not yet fully visible — and calling you to trust what you cannot yet see.
What the Back-and-Forth Sounds Like“Is this God — or just what I want?”“Should I stay, or is He leading me out?”“Am I hearing Him or only hearing myself?”“What if I move too soon and miss it?”“What if I wait too long and miss the open door?”“How do I know for sure before I move?”You are not the first faithful person to sit with these questions. God is not threatened by your uncertainty — He meets you in it.God Guides Those Who Seek HimProverbs 3:5–6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”His PromiseHe shall direct your paths — not someday, not only when the circumstances become clear. As you acknowledge Him in all your ways — including the uncertain, in-between season — He directs. The directing is His work. The acknowledging is yours. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.”His PromiseThis prayer was written for people who do not have it figured out — and that is exactly who it is for. The invitation is to ask, and the promise is that He gives generously. The uncertainty you are sitting in is not a disqualifier from His wisdom. It is precisely the condition that makes the asking necessary — and the promise available.Isaiah 30:21“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left.”His PromiseSpecific direction for specific turns. When you are genuinely unsure — right or left, stay or go, now or wait — His voice is available. The condition is having ears oriented toward Him rather than toward the noise of the uncertainty, the opinions of others, or the pressure to decide before the light has come.When You’re Not Sure You’re Hearing Him CorrectlySome of the deepest struggle in this season is not the decision itself — it is the doubt about whether you are even hearing God correctly. Did God really tell me this, or is this just something I want? That question is honest, and it is common. It does not mean something is wrong with your faith. It often means you are taking hearing God seriously enough not to assume.
Recognizing His voice grows with relationship — not all at once, and not on a schedule. It is entirely normal to feel unsure while that is still being developed. What matters is continuing to bring the question honestly to God, staying in His Word, and giving Him space to confirm what He is saying rather than forcing a conclusion before it arrives.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27He said His sheep hear His voice — not that they always immediately recognize it or never doubt it. Following Him is the direction. That direction continues even through the uncertain seasons when the voice feels quieter than you would like.
Hold Steady — Do Not Rush AheadHolding Steady Is Not the Same as Doing NothingUncertainty can create pressure — a felt need to do something, anything, just to make the not-knowing stop. But Scripture does not treat waiting as a failure to act. Holding steady in a season of uncertainty is its own form of faithfulness. It is the refusal to manufacture an answer simply because waiting is uncomfortable. The person who holds steady until the light comes takes a step from a much stronger position than the person who moved before it arrived.
Psalm 37:7“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”His PromiseBe still — not because nothing is happening, but because forcing the answer before it comes produces results that belong to human timing rather than God’s. Waiting patiently is not passivity. It is the active posture of someone who has decided that God’s timing is better than their urgency.Isaiah 28:16“Whoever believes will not act hastily.”His PromiseOne of the clearest markers of genuine faith is the absence of haste. The person who truly believes that God is directing does not need to force the pace. Haste is often the symptom of fear or self-reliance rather than trust. Holding steady while God prepares what comes next is a declaration that you believe He is working.Proverbs 19:2“Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses the way.”His PromiseHaste misses the way — not through bad intentions but through premature movement. The right step taken before the right time can still be a missed step. Wait for the knowledge, wait for the clarity, wait for the confirmation. The desire to move is not wrong. Moving before the light has come is where things go astray.2 Chronicles 20:12“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”His PromiseOne of the most honest prayers in all of Scripture — spoken by a king facing an impossible situation. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You. The not-knowing is named openly. And what follows it is not shame but direction. God answered this prayer with a specific plan. He still does.Prepare While You WaitWaiting and Preparing Are Not OppositesThe season of holding steady does not have to be a season of inactivity. While you wait for God to open the door only He can open, you can gather information, seek wise counsel, develop skills, put your finances in order, ask questions, and get ready. Preparation in a waiting season is an act of faith — it is saying to God: I believe something is coming, and I am getting ready for it. When the door opens, the person who prepared steps through it with confidence rather than scrambling to catch up.
Proverbs 15:22“Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.”His PromiseCounsel establishes plans. While you wait for the direction to become clear, you can seek the wisdom of people who have walked similar paths — whose perspective can show you what you cannot see from inside the uncertainty. Gathering counsel during the waiting is preparation, not premature action.Psalm 57:2“I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.”His PromiseGod who performs all things — including the things that need to happen before the next door opens. While you wait, He is working on things you cannot see: arranging circumstances, opening hearts, preparing the people and the opportunities that will be ready when you are. He is performing while you are preparing.Revelation 3:7–8“These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”His PromiseHe holds the keys. The door He opens for you cannot be shut by any circumstance, any economy, any person, or any delay. And the door He shuts cannot be forced open by your own determination. This is the freedom of genuine trust — the right door, at the right time, opened by the right hand.The Posture That Remains the Same Through Every SeasonIPray

Bring the real question — not just the version you are comfortable asking, but the actual confusion, the actual doubt, the actual back-and-forth. God is not intimidated by your honest uncertainty. He meets it with direction that comes as you genuinely seek Him.IIPrepare

While you wait, you can still gather counsel, get information, get ready, and develop what will be needed when the door opens. You are not forced to choose between waiting and preparing — they work together. Preparation without forcing the outcome is faith expressed through faithfulness.IIIProceed

When the light comes for the next step — take it. You may still not see the whole road. That is all right. The lamp gives enough light for the next step, and then the next. When God opens the door that no one can shut, step through it with confidence that He who opened it goes with you through it.Hold Onto These While You WaitPsalm 32:8“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My loving eye on you.”His PromiseInstruct, teach, guide — three things He commits to doing. With a loving eye — not a disappointed or impatient one. His guidance in the uncertain season is not reluctant. It comes from the same loving attention that has always been on you.Proverbs 16:9“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”His PromiseWe plan. God directs. Both are present — human thinking and divine direction working together. Make your best plan with what you have. Hold it loosely. He will direct the actual steps, which may look different from the plan — and almost always do.Jeremiah 29:11“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”His PromiseI know the plans — notice who knows. God does. The fact that you do not yet know is not the same as there being no plan. He holds the plan. You hold onto Him. The uncertainty you are experiencing is not evidence that nothing is being prepared — it is the space between now and what He has already determined.Hebrews 10:23“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”His PromiseHold fast — not let go when the waiting becomes long or the uncertainty becomes loud. The reason to hold fast is not that the answer is coming soon. It is that He who promised is faithful. His character is the anchor. Teach me Your ways. Show me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth. Give me the wisdom You promise to those who ask. And help me to recognize Your voice — to know the difference between what You are saying and what I am hoping You will say. As I wait, help me to prepare. And when the light comes for the next step, give me the courage to take it — even if I cannot yet see the whole road.
You hold the key. The door You open, no one can shut. I am trusting You with the door.

It is where trust is built — not the kind that exists when all the answers are clear, but the kind that holds when they are not. God is not absent from your uncertainty. He is present in it, working in ways that are not yet fully visible, preparing what you will need before you know you need it.
You do not need the whole plan today. You need enough light for the next step — and He has promised to give that. The lamp of His Word does not illuminate the whole road. It gives enough light to take the next faithful step, and then the next. That is the kind of guidance Scripture actually promises, and it is sufficient for every season of genuine not-knowing.
So hold steady. Keep bringing the real questions honestly to God. Prepare while you wait. Seek wise counsel. And when the light comes for the next step — take it. The door He opens for you cannot be shut by any circumstance or any delay. Trust the One who holds the key. He knows the plans, and they are good.

Something Amazing is Happening
Something amazing is happening.
Years back the Lord was very clear in things He showed my husband and I.
What the Lord spoke to me after my father died, was “don’t let the prophetic words I spoke to your Father (Dick Mills) die with this generation. He has passed but the Words I spoke to him will never die.”That caused us to shift everything we were doing. We relocated, moved across the states, because of things the Lord revealed to us. We got new jobs, moved the Dick Mills Ministries base to Oklahoma. There were specific things the Lord spoke to us-
As I was praying a few months ago, the Lord also gave me this picture with these words….
”Every person, every tribe, every nation.”
The picture was first of the world, then the nations, then tribes, people, groups, and a person.We believe and know God has given us clear direction to bring the gospel to a hurting world. Job 4:4 says, “Your Word O Lord has kept men on their feet.”
Keeping people on their feet with the good news that Jesus can help them.
We believe Jesus, the Savior, is the answer, and that salvation saves men from Hell.
With what God is doing for us personally at the ministry Dickmillsministry.org which can now be found online as well at goodword4u.org we are able to share the gospel, the good news and a good word 24 hours a day worldwide.
We are able to share the good news worldwide now because of the internet.

Why do we bother? Because we have found that fulfilling the Great Commission is our vision.Our strategy is to grow the outreach, and have the means to do it.

My father alone ministered a good word to over 1,000,000 people. We believe this set in motion a precedence for us to continue breathing life into people with God’s Word.People need Jesus.

Presently we are adding these Biblical Good Words to the website, they’ll also be offered on YouTube as well as an App.They are not published yet as we are working towards that but the process is in the works. What we are working on is enormous, and we project it to be active, in every way, in the next 2 months.I prayed recently and told the Lord I need to live longer to complete all that He is speaking to me! 125 at least.Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

A Good Word for YouWhen You Are Waiting on God
I hear from so many of you asking for prayer, believing God for an answer…yet there seems to be a time of waiting-
Waiting can be one of the most difficult seasons of the Christian life. You may be praying for healing, believing for financial provision, waiting for a prodigal child to come home, asking God to restore a relationship, or standing in faith for an answer that has not yet come.
Some mornings you wake up facing the very same challenge you prayed about yesterday. It can be discouraging when circumstances appear unchanged, and the temptation is to believe that God has forgotten you or that your prayers are accomplishing nothing.
But God’s Word tells us something very different.
Waiting is not a sign that God is absent. Waiting is often the place where God strengthens our faith, shapes our character, teaches us to depend upon Him, and prepares us for what He has already planned. While we wait, God calls us to remain faithful, to continue trusting Him, and to anchor our lives in His promises rather than our circumstances.
Foundation Scripture
Psalm 27:13–14
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Notice David says:
“I would have lost heart…”
That means he understood discouragement.
Then he tells us what kept him going:
He believed.
God Is Working While You Wait
Isaiah 40:31
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”
Waiting isn’t simply about the answer.
It’s about what God does inside you while you’re waiting.
Lamentations 3:25–26
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him…It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
Habakkuk 2:3
“Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.”
God’s promises have God’s timing.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
Keep Trusting God

“Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus, thank you that you are faithful and trustworthy. Lord we worship you and we give you all the honor and all the praise. Lord today we give you our heart, we give you our plans, we give you our day and we invite you in Lord. We ask you to lead us and guide us. God we lift to you in prayer our needs and our requests and we ask you to help us solve what we’re not able to solve, provide what we’re not able to provide and show us what we need to do. Lord, what we need to say and set in motion. God, we thank you that your mercies are new every morning. We thank you that no good thing will you withhold from us as we walk towards you and with you. (Psalm 84:11). Lord, you promise that all of our needs would be met according to your riches in glory(Philippians 4:19), And the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead would now quicken us and make us alive. (Romans 8:11). God thank you that you are fighting battles for us that we don’t even know about that. You’re arranging things for us, you’ve blessed us with favor and wisdom and discernment. God we thank you today that you’re making a way for us even when it seems impossible (Matthew 19:26). We give you all the praise and all the glory – and we pray all these things in the Mighty Name of Jesus, the Name that’s above every name. Amen.

God is Speaking
God is speaking and you can hear His voice. If you ever wonder “How does God speak?”
There are 3 things you can do today to hear God speak:First start with a simple prayer: God I need you. I need your help with __________. Please help me see what I need to see, understand what I need to understand so I can wisely do what I need to do. In Jesus Name, Amen
1. God says if you will call on Him He will answer you, and SHOW you things you don’t know. Jeremiah 33:3. Write down exactly what you need to know, to hear, or need in your life. Example: God my heart is broken, my marriage is in rough shape. What do I do? Or I don’t know how we are ever going to get out of this financial spot we are in, what should we do?Be specific and write it down, and date it. Pray for specific solutions and help.
Realize you need to do what only you can do. Only you can apologize. Only you can call and make payment arrangements. But as you do ask God for-

Miracles
Strength
Peace
“If you want to hear God’s voice more consistently, begin by spending time where His voice is already speaking.”
2. His voice is already speaking in His Word. Open the Bible and begin reading. Psalm 37. Psalm 46. Psalm 122. Proverbs 1. Proverbs 3. Read and ask God to speak WHILE you are reading His Word.
This is you shifting your focus from problem to solution. From impossible to miracle. His Word brings answers.3. Repent of sin. The Bible says in Isaiah 59:2 that sin will separate you from God. Don’t let sin separate you from God and rob you of the life that you are meant to have.
We want God to hear us, hear our prayers and help us.
He promises He will, and God is not a liar. (Numbers 23:19).
God is speaking to you, and He is the answer.
I believe God is speaking to you, and you can hear what He is saying. He is not withholding His voice from you, nor is He dangling His answers or direction in front of you like a carrot.
The Holy Spirit does not write new Scripture. He writes God’s eternal Scripture upon our hearts.

The Problem We Face
Many believers desire answered prayer but often become discouraged when answers seem delayed or don’t come the way they expected. We pray, wonder if God hears us, and sometimes question whether we’re asking according to His will.
Our greatest struggle isn’t usually God’s willingness to answer—it is learning how to remain closely connected to Him.
The world constantly competes for our attention. Worry, disappointment, fear, busy schedules, and endless distractions can slowly crowd out the quiet place where we hear God’s voice.
Before long, our thoughts begin to shape our prayers more than God’s Word shapes them.
Jesus never intended for His followers to live independently of Him. He invites us into a continual relationship where His presence becomes our dwelling place and His Word becomes the foundation of everything we think, believe, and pray.
God’s Solution
Jesus gives us a remarkable promise with a clear invitation: Abide in Me, and let My words abide in you.

The more God’s Word fills your heart, the more your prayers begin to agree with His purposes. You are no longer praying from uncertainty but from the confidence that comes from knowing what God has already spoken.
This is why abiding is so powerful. Prayer becomes less about persuading God and more about partnering with Him.
A Good Word
Today, make the decision to stay close to Jesus.
Allow His Word to take root in your heart. Spend time reading the Scriptures, listening for His voice, and trusting the Holy Spirit to guide your steps.
As you remain in Him, your faith will grow stronger, your prayers will become more confident, and your heart will find peace even while you wait.
God has not left you to figure life out on your own. He invites you to live in His presence, build your life on His Word, and pray with the assurance that He hears every sincere prayer.
Remain in Him today, and let His Word remain in you. As you do, you’ll discover that the One who gave the promise is faithful to fulfill it.
God has more for you. It is in His presence that you get the direction you need to go the right way. Listen for His voice. He has the answers you are searching for.

Your Failure is Not Bigger Than Your Savior
When You Feel You Have Done the Unforgivable
When you feel that you need forgiveness, part 2.
It is interesting that through the Bible, we can read of men’s failures, their sin, and reckless actions that brought destruction to everyone around them.Yet God helped them when they called out for help.
When they prayed and repented, God answered and forgave.
You don’t ever read a scripture where God said “Not this time.”Isaiah 1:18“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”His Promise
Scarlet — the deepest, most permanent stain. White as snow — complete transformation. God is not intimidated by the depth of what you have done. His grace is not overwhelmed by the weight of your record.Psalm 103:10–12“He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities… as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”His Promise
East and west never meet — that is intentional. God chose the one measurement that has no terminus to describe how completely He removes confessed sin. What He has removed cannot be retrieved and used against you.
Hebrews 8:12“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”His Promise
He chooses not to remember. What God has forgiven, He no longer holds. The accusation that keeps bringing it back to your memory is not coming from the God who said He will remember your sins no more.Colossians 2:13–14“He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; He has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.”His Promise
The record that stood against you — every entry, every charge — was nailed to the cross. Canceled. Not reduced, not suspended. Canceled.God could have said “not this time. What you did was too much. I can’t forgive that…”He forgives every sin.
Your part in this now is to come to God and repent. Pray, and repent of every sin. The forgiveness is there. It is now time to walk differently.
Christ absorbed the debt in full so that nothing remains outstanding against you.Micah 7:18–19“Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression…You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”His Promise
God delights in showing mercy. He does not reluctantly forgive — He hurls sin into the depths of the sea.He is not a God who forgives grudgingly.
Mercy is who He is, and He delights in showing it.Knowing the Difference — Conviction and Condemnation
ConvictionThis was wrong. Bring it to God. Turn from it. Walk differently. There is a path forward through repentance and His forgiveness.CondemnationThis is who you are. Nothing will ever change. You don’t deserve to come back to God. Your failure defines your future.After confession and repentance, continuing condemnation is not the voice of God. Do not let it take over your thoughts, it is against all God has promised and all Jesus has done.
Romans 8:1 is His answer to it: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” And 2 Corinthians 5:17 is His declaration over you: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Sometimes being completely forgiven by God still means making an apology, rebuilding trust, repaying something, accepting a boundary, receiving counseling, or patiently allowing someone else time to heal.
Consequences do not mean God has withheld forgiveness. And repentance is not merely feeling terrible about what happened. Repentance begins turning in another direction. Maybe yesterday’s choices produced today’s painful harvest — start sowing differently today.
The harvest of tomorrow is determined by what is planted now.

Don’t Let Yourself Grow Weary
Galatians 6:7–9“Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap… And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”His Promise
The same principle that produced yesterday’s painful harvest can produce tomorrow’s good one.
Start sowing differently. Do not grow weary in doing good — because a harvest is coming from what you plant today too.Philippians 3:13–14“Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
His Promise
Paul could not erase his past — but he refused to let it define his direction.Forget what is behind. Reach forward. Press.
These are active choices that God empowers in the person who has confessed and received His forgiveness.Joel 2:25“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.”
His Promise
God can still bring purpose, fruitfulness, ministry, wisdom, and beauty out of a life that contains painful chapters. He does not restore every earthly consequence — but He can redeem what remains and bring something out of it that only He could create.Isaiah 43:18–19“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Jesus was not God’s response to people who had everything together.
Jesus was God’s answer to sin. His very name carries the mission — to save His people from their sins.

Not after you fixed everything. Not after you proved yourself. Not after enough time had passed. While we were still sinners — while the record was at its worst — Christ died. That is the love that reached for you before you reached for Him.Luke 19:10“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”His Promise
Seek — He came looking. Save — He came with the ability to do what finding alone could not. You did not have to find your way back to Him first. He came for you while you were still lost.Ephesians 1:7“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”His Promise
Redemption — not only forgiveness of the past, but the beginning of something being redeemed.
God does not simply pardon your record. He begins redeeming your life. What was wasted, He begins to restore into something useful and purposeful.John 3:17“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”His Promise
God’s purpose in sending Jesus was not condemnation — it was salvation. If condemnation is all you are experiencing, that is not coming from the Father who sent His Son to save, not to condemn.When You Know You Were WrongDavid’s Prayer — A Model for the Person Who FailedAfter serious sin and devastating consequences, David did not pray: make the consequences disappear. He prayed: change me.
That distinction matters enormously. Genuine repentance is not primarily about escaping what we caused — it is about becoming different from the person who caused it.
Psalm 51:1–2“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.”His Promise
David appealed to God’s lovingkindness — not to his own merit. He brought the full weight of what he had done and asked for thorough cleansing. God heard that prayer. He hears yours.Psalm 51:10“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
His Promise
Create, not patch, not cover over. Create something new. This is the prayer that goes beyond regret and asks God for actual transformation. He answered it for David. He answers it still.Proverbs 28:13
“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
His Promise
The path to mercy is clear — confess and renounce. Not confess and continue. Not confess and minimize. Confess and turn. Mercy is on the other side of that turning.Acts 3:19“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”His Promise
Times of refreshing. Someone who has carried regret for years needs to know that life with God does not have to remain permanently defined by yesterday. Repentance opens the door to refreshing — a new season, a new start, a new work of His Spirit.Lives God Redeemed — After FailureThese are not stories telling us sin doesn’t matter. They tell us something far greater: failure does not place a repentant person beyond the reach of God’s redemption.Your failure is not bigger than your Savior.

Peter failed and was restored. David sinned and found mercy. Paul had a past he could never erase, yet God gave him a future he could never have imagined.God’s Protocol — What Do I Do With What I’ve Done?These are not steps to earn forgiveness — it is already available. They are the pathway of receiving what God has already made possible.Stop Hiding from God
He already knows. Hiding from God does not protect you from the knowledge of what happened — it only separates you from the One who can deal with it. Come to Him exactly as you are.Confess Specifically
Do not excuse it, rename it, or minimize it. Name it before God for what it was. Specific confession opens the door to specific cleansing.Receive God’s Forgiveness
If God says He forgives, believe what He says. Receiving forgiveness is an act of faith — agreeing with what God has declared rather than clinging to self-condemnation that He has already answered.Repent — Turn and Walk Differently
Repentance is not merely regret. It is a change of direction. Ask God to change you from the inside — to create in you a clean heart and a steadfast spirit that walks differently from this point forward.Make Things Right Where You Wisely Can
Apologize where appropriate. Tell the truth where it needs to be told.Seek counsel for what needs to be repaired. Make restitution where possible. Do not confuse receiving God’s forgiveness with avoiding human responsibility.Accept That Rebuilding May Take Time
Forgiveness can be immediate; rebuilding human trust often is not. Be patient with the process and with others who need time to heal from what happened.Stop Sentencing Yourself for What Christ Has Forgiven
Continuing condemnation after genuine confession and repentance is not from God. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Do not spend the rest of your life paying for something Jesus died to forgive.
Begin Sowing Differently Today
Yesterday’s choices produced today’s harvest. Today’s choices are planting tomorrow’s. Start sowing what you want to reap — faithfulness, wisdom, integrity, restoration.Stay Close to Jesus
Your answer is not greater willpower. Your answer is continued transformation through Christ.
Stay in His Word. Stay in prayer. Stay in community. Transformation happens in proximity to Him.Speak God’s Word TodayThese declarations speak the truth of the Gospel over the voice of condemnation. Speak them aloud as an act of faith.Jesus Christ came to save me from my sins.When I confess my sin, God faithfully forgives and cleanses me.There is no condemnation for me in Christ Jesus.My worst decision does not have greater power than the blood of Jesus.I cannot rewrite yesterday, but through Christ I can walk differently today.God is creating a clean heart within me.I will take responsibility for what I have done without allowing it to become my identity.I am forgiven. I am being changed. I am being redeemed.God still has purpose for my life.A Prayer for YouFather, I come to You without pretending. I know what I did. I know some of what I am living with today came from my own choices, my own words, my own decisions. And I bring all of it to You right now — not to make excuses, but to confess.
I ask You to forgive me — specifically, completely, as You promised. I receive Your forgiveness not because I feel worthy of it but because Your Word says You are faithful and just to forgive when I confess. I receive it as an act of faith in what You have said.
Create in me a clean heart. Renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not let my failure become the defining story of my life — let Your redemption become the defining story instead. Change what needs to change in me from the inside out, so that I walk differently from this point forward.
Where I need to make things right with people — give me the courage and the wisdom to do that. And where I have sentenced myself for what You have already forgiven — help me to receive the freedom that cost Your Son everything. I will not spend the rest of my life paying for something Jesus died to forgive.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.A Good Word for YouPerhaps the hardest part of your situation is knowing that some of what you are experiencing today came from decisions you made yesterday. You may wish you could take back the words, undo the decision, restore the relationship, recover the years. But this is precisely where the Gospel becomes such good news.
Jesus did not come because humanity had performed well. He came because we needed a Savior. You cannot change what happened yesterday — but you can bring yesterday completely under the blood of Jesus Christ. Confess what was wrong. Receive His forgiveness. Make restitution where appropriate. Allow God to change what needs changing within you. And then begin walking forward.
Don’t spend the rest of your life trying to pay for something Jesus died to forgive. There may still be consequences to navigate. Some relationships may take time to rebuild. But God’s ability to redeem your future is greater than your ability to have damaged your past. Your failure is not bigger than your Savior. Come back to Him. Receive His mercy. Let Him cleanse your heart. Then get up and begin walking with Him again.
