A simple way to start your day with God, is to pray. That changes your mindset from focusing on you, what you need to do, what you have to do, to God. It puts Him first. A simple prayer.
God’s Word directs us to being stronger, depending on Him, drawing power from His Spirit. Instead of overwhelm, we can be empowered, filled, prepared, and ready for the day.
Don’t Quit
We don’t give up, we don’t quit, because the God we serve, His name is Jehovah, is a good God. The Devil is a bad Devil, and we don’t ever mix the two up!
This is the day that God has made, the day that we are made to rejoice in. He saves us, helps us, delivers us, loves us, keeps us, protects us and hears us. God is on our side!
Think about the opposite where Satan is concerned- He doesn’t save us, doesn’t help us, doesn’t deliver us, doesn’t love us, instead hates us because we are God’s handmade creation. He is not on our side.
Don’t quit, but look for God in the day that He has made. His purpose for you and His destiny for you are found in the day He has made.
HIs game plan is for us to ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and everything you need will be provided, when you put Him first.” Matthew 6:33
With a believers’ mindset that we are not going to quit, our attitude changes because it focuses on God’s strength, His Spirit within us, His promises and His plan. The focus changes from us, which is self-centered, to faith-centered. Faith in God. God has given you a measure of faith. You have it.
Romans 12:3, “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”
Our central thought is ‘God is strengthening me, helping me, and filling me with His Spirit.’
God has promised to help you (Isaiah 41:10). That changes you. His Word is your promise (Ezekiel 12:25,28).
Ezekiel 12:28, “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’”
Again, your focus can be on God’s Words, His presence and power inside of you. Instead of starting the day perhaps overwhelmed at all that needs to be done, or not sure where to start, feeling anxious, start your day with this simple scripture-based prayer that reminds you “Don’t ever quit.”
Simple Game Plan – Don’t Ever Quit
Do you see how God is prepping you with His Words, His Promises, that you don’t need to feel like giving up.
The simple game plan is ‘don’t ever quit.’ Quitting comes when feelings of overwhelm cloud our faith. But our faith isn’t based on feelings but what God has done. Yes, feelings are real, but God’s Word is eternal. It is what we put our faith in. That is why we serve Him. Because of what He has done, His promises that are true, because He is faithful.
Father in Jesus’ Name, thank you for today. I know it is the day the Lord has made. I choose to rejoice instead of being sorrowful or depressed. I choose to put on the garment of Praise (Isaiah 61:3) and I praise you because you are good and because you are God. “
Lord fill me with your Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), strengthen me and empower me to do everything I need to do. There is no problem that I cannot solve because you promised to help me (Isaiah 41:10) and give me strength. I am full of your Spirit (Romans 8:11) because you said in your Word that “the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will now quicken my mortal body.” That means that I have the power of God, the resurrection, death defeating power of God inside of me. I am not powerless, or pitiful, but powerful and strong (Philippians 4:13). “
“Thank you, Jesus, for all you have done for me. Thank you, Jesus, that you have armed me with the full armor of God (Ephesians 6), so I put it on to remind myself I am more than a conqueror, and I can do all things through Christ because you strengthen me.
Today is going to be an incredible day, and my focus is on you, my Lord and my Savior, my God not my circumstances. Circumstances change, but my eyes are on you, and I turn my thoughts towards you”
“IN the Matchless Name of Jesus, the Name above every name.”
Amen!
