A Bible Study on Receiving, Walking In, and Enjoying What God Has Given

God does not call His people to merely endure life—He calls them to trust Him, walk with Him, and enjoy the fruit of what He provides.

Yet many believers struggle to step into that place of rest and enjoyment.

This study addresses that tension.

1. THE PROBLEM CHRISTIANS FACE

Many believers are:

• Faithful, yet weary
• Blessed, yet unable to enjoy it
• Provided for, yet still striving
• Walking with God, yet lacking peace

Root Issues

• Constant striving instead of resting in God
• Fear of loss or uncertainty about the future
• Feeling unworthy of blessing
• Neglecting the spiritual discipline of gratitude
• Living in survival mode instead of promise-awareness

There is often a disconnect between:

What God has given and what the believer is experiencing- But the good news is the Blessing of the Lord involves rich fulfillment.

2. THE TRUTH: GOD INTENDS FOR YOU TO ENJOY HIS PROVISION

Isaiah 65:22 (NKJV)

“My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.”

God’s intention is not temporary relief—it is sustained enjoyment of what He establishes in your life.

1 Timothy 6:17 (NKJV)

“Trust in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.”

This is foundational:

• God is the giver
• The provision is rich
• The purpose includes enjoyment

Enjoyment is not worldly—it is God-ordained when rooted in Him.

Today is a good day to pause for a moment and thank God for what He has done for you.

Our tendency is often to focus on lack, unanswered prayers, upsetting circumstances….and then we let our mood determine our day rather than what God has already done for us.

But the Bible says that ‘the Joy of the Lord is your strength.’ Nehemiah 8:10

In order to be stronger in the Lord you have to take hold of His strength. And it is attached to joy.

It is time to be purposeful about your walk with the Lord and live stronger.

Not waiting for adverse situations to come and cause you to get off track. Decide ahead of time to live for Jesus, to walk with Him and be strengthened by His promises. This is a decision only you can make.

My new devotional that is a good word for each day gives you simple steps to take to be strong in the Lord.

Realize you aren’t disregarding your situation rather you are plugging yourself into God’s strength like plugging a lamp into an electrical socket. The lamp doesn’t work without electricity.

You don’t work fully without the power and presence of God.

That is where your joy is found and that is where your strength is found.

Don’t go another day without it!

“God we thank you that today is the day you’ve made, we deliberately rejoice in it today. We have situations we need your help with, healing, miraculous breakthroughs, and wisdom. Lord your Word is the light for our dark circumstances that we face. You are withholding no good thing from us, so we know if we are in a rough season you haven’t left us, you are strengthening us and providing answers to the dilemmas we face. God thank you! We thank you for the blessings you’ve already given us and We praise you, giving you ALL the glory and honor.”
