Good morning everyone. Have you seen the scripture where God points out He is ‘getting ready’ to do new things?
Today is a good day to fill yourself up with God’s promises so that you are strong and filled with the powerful Word of God.
God says He is doing a ‘new thing’ and He is setting it in motion. Making a way in the wilderness means He is providing a way you can see, and that may not be traveled by others, but He will make a way for you. Rivers in the desert means He will provide your daily essentials even in a dry season.
Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?”
The key is to be walking with Him, in the direction He is going to experience the things He has in store for you.
New Things
Be sure to read our recent post on “New Things“. You won’t want to miss it *HERE
*Can you imagine if you had a friend that said ‘I’m going to take you to dinner, a great place and I’ll take care of the meal. The entire evening is on me?’
You get in your car, head a different direction, going on a different road, and end up at a different restaurant. You would miss the meal, the gift of a great meal, with a great friend.
All because you got in your car, started driving but going the-
Wrong way.
Wrong direction.
Wrong place.
Wrong time.
Same Direction
Going the same direction is essential. You won’t enjoy the benefits of the meal at the restaurant with the person who is paying for the meal.
Why? Because you weren’t going the same direction as they were and you didn’t end up at the same place they were, at the time they were there.
Common sense.
God says in His Word “If you will seek me you will find me.” Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)
“Seek first the Kingdom of God, go after God with all your heart, and His Righteousness and everything you need will be added to your life.” Matthew 6:33 (my wording).
God has new things in store for you, promised in His Word.
Today is a good day to head in the same direction He is heading.
Follow Him.
Be a Christ Follower, a believer, a Christian, with a heart that is whole-heartedly devoted to the Lord. The Lord promises to be found by you when you seek Him, and call on His Name.
Jeremiah 33:3, “Call on me and I will answer you and show you things you don’t know.”
We need to be heading the same direction that He is heading and walking with Him.
Many scriptures that speak of the many new things God has in store for believers are listed below: The reason why? To change the heart of man so that it is a heart that responds to God.
New Spirit
Ezekiel 36:26 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.”
II Corinthians 5:17. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Isaiah 42:9. “Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
Isaiah 43:18,19, “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now, it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.”
This is great news! When salvation occurs, and Jesus Christ becomes Lord, you become brand new! Old things are passed away, and new life with Jesus has begun.
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
No matter how much darkness is in the world, the light of God’s Word, His presence and His gospel dispels that darkness. Every time.
Psalm 119:130, “The entrance of HIs Word brings light.”
